CitraBlue® St. Augustine is an improved St. Augustine turfgrass variety developed by the University of Florida turfgrass breeding program under the sponsored Research Service Agreement with the Turfgrass Producers of Florida, Inc. (TPF). CitraBlue St. Augustine features a distinctive blue-green color with excellent resistance to gray leaf spot, large patch and take-all-root rot. Additionally, it has good shade tolerance and its dense canopy is more competitive against weeds compared to Floratam. There is availability now in the state with more widespread availability in 2022.
CitraZoy is the first zoysiagrass developed "by Florida, for Florida". Bred by the University of Florida, CitraZoy addresses some of the problems other zoysia varieties have in the Sunshine State. It has resistance to turfgrass diseases and it holds color longer throughout the cooler months of the year. CitraZoy has a medium-fine blade width and will be perfect of lawns throughout the different areas of the state. CitraZoy is being grown and expanded by producers throughout the state and will have limited commercial availability in 2022.
